Founder's Letter
Dear Delegates, Directors, Sponsors, Student Officers, and Esteemed Guests,
KAIMUN began as a vision between two students, rooted in curiosity, built on late-night FaceTime calls, and driven by a shared belief that youth should have a seat at the table in global conversations on artificial intelligence.
As Co-Founders of KAIMUN, we launched this conference not simply to simulate a traditional MUN Conference, but to create a space where students internationally could engage with one of the most sensitive and defining topics of our generation: the rise of Artificial Intelligence. From new algorithms to surveillance ethics and autonomous weapons, artificial intelligence is reshaping international relations faster than leaders and law can respond. We believed that if world leaders new to the issue, can debate on how to regulate AI, students can too.
This conference would not have been possible without the incredible support of our team, our advisors, and our sponsors—including NVIDIA, Meta, Oracle, TSMC, and Park One Health. We’re especially grateful to Kaohsiung American School for providing us a canvas to our ideas, and the space to turn them into reality. Whether you’re debating in committee, attending as a guest, or simply meeting new people, we hope KAIMUN challenges you to think deeper, speak bolder, and explore something you may be unfamiliar with.
We are proud to launch what we hope will blossom into a lasting tradition, one that continues to grow and inspire future generations, leaders, and innovators.
With gratitude,
Evan Yang, Co-Founder & Secretary-General
Geoffrey Wen, Co-Founder & Deputy Secretary-General
